Paper Pieces

After I opened the pattern and started reading the instructions, I suddenly realized that it was a foundation piecing project. One would think I already knew that, but then I am notorious for not reading the instructions first. So, thank goodness I know how to do foundation piecing...

Fan Up

Beginning the fan was fun, this is a very large paper pattern and it went fast.

Fan Complete

Isn't that pretty? I am very happy with how the fabric came together. So nice...

Two Parts

The next part went fast as well and now comes the really tough part. Putting the two together. The pattern instructions don't explain how to do this part, so I am going to do a separate article about that later.

Front & Inside Pockets

I really liked to way the hand embroidery looked, but let's face it, I'm a mother of four with too many hobbies. So I used the stitches on my machine and it turned out fine. Don't you love my flat little pin cushion? I have to find something to stuff it with. Well, that is as far I have gotten and I can't wait to see how it looks with it all together.
