Christmas Sewing...

Now that Thanksgiving dinner is over, it is time to start thinking about sewing projects that I would like to start making for Christmas...

One of my favorite sewing projects for Christmas gifts to make for friends and family are pillowcases. They are fast and easy to make and if you can get fabric on sale, it is even better. I dug through all of my fabric stash and sewed about eleven of these pretty pillow slips in one day. I am planning on stopping by Hobby Lobby tomorrow on the way home to get some Christmas fabric.

Do you remember this strawberry pin cushion that I made last winter? I thought it would be fun to make the pear pin cushion to go along with it. If you don't remember where I got the pattern from, here is the link to Heather Bailey's web site.

After I made the pear, I thought that the apple needed to be made next. I think I like the apple even more than the pear. Both are cute and will make good gifts for friends that like to sew.

Brendan liked the pin cushions so much that he wanted to take his picture with them. He's the fruit in the middle....
Happy Quilting and Sewing!
