Align Fold

Once I had gotten to this point in the project I had to remember how to sew them together. I thought maybe this would be a good thing to share with my friends.

fold in half

Take both parts and fold over to create a crease line for your beginning point.

Right sides together

With right sides together you will find the starting point and place under your presser foot and put the needle down.

Begin Sewing Curve

As you move along you are going line up the top piece with the bottom piece. The paper will give you a little resistance so you will need to get a little rough with it. It is okay if the paper tears.

Turn the Curve

You can see how it really wants to fight with you but you have to tell it that you are the boss.

use a tool

Some times I feel like I can't get my finger in there close enough so I will grab my seam ripper or scissors and use it to guide it in.

Using Tool

By the time you reach the end both ends will match up and it is time to do the other half.

Other Half of Curve

This time the fan piece will be on top and then it is time to sew to the other end. Take your time while doing this. Even if you have a child that comes up and asks why you are so slow at it, don't rush to the finish.

Press together

Press the curved seam up, away from the fan. If you have ever made curved pieces like this and have further tips, please share them. It is so nice to share...
