When we lived in Florida a year and a half ago, I saw this really cute pattern for a shrug on Ravelry.com. I thought to myself, Self, you need to buy this yarn and make this thing. So, I listened to myself and bought it.
The two skeins of Giant Peach yarn sat in the drawer for the next year and a half, untouched and begging to be wound up into beautiful cakes. Well, after making the scarf Ishbel by Ysolda, which I mentioned in a previous post, I felt ready to make it.
I love the pattern across the back and down the arms. With this worsted weight yarn it knit up fairly quickly too.
I was so excited to be finished with it I had to take pictures and share it with my friends. I am going to be wearing this all day today. And tomorrow...
My goal for this month was to have made the matching knitted beret for the scarf I made last month. I did finally start on it last night, but the provisional cast-on is really leaving me stumped. I do understand how to cast-on, it is the joining in the round that I am having trouble with. If anyone has any tips for me, I would be very happy to receive them!
